ABOUT THE ARTIST
My whole life, I have been surrounded by music and have come from a musical family. My parents have been in a band for over 20 years and my upbringing has taught me, not only enjoy music, but to understand it. I have always been keen on performing and always enjoyed being on stage singing my heart out, even as a child - I have been singing for about as long as I’ve been able to talk! Over the years, my drive for music has only grown and I have shown interest in learning different instruments over the years; some of which whittled away very quickly, like chanter/bagpipes, but others which I have developed true passion and skill in, like guitar and piano. I studied music to Advanced Higher level at high school which allowed me to further understand music as a language, as well as improve my vocal ability and range. I have greatly developed my ability in many aspects of my music and have built up a well-rounded, varied repertoire of songs - some cover songs, some original – stretching across different genres, styles and eras.

At the age of 12, I joined my parents in Tipsy Laird and started to get a feel for gigging, playing a mixture of pub gigs and functions and very quickly discovered how much I enjoyed performing. In 2017, with a couple of friends, formed Heated, a trio playing a number of acoustic covers with a warm, relaxing sound, and great harmonies. We have played at festivals such as Forfarfest and Bonfest. I still perform with both Tipsy Laird and Heated occasionally, however I have been putting more focus into my career as a soloist.

These days, I have established my own sound as a solo artist and have been writing more original material that I wish to perform. My main muses are vocals and guitar, however I often bring piano and ukulele into the mix too. I have developed my guitar skills to adapt to the different styles which suit my voice, as well as me as a person. For example, playing more percussively when singing more soulful songs, compared to my louder, more vocally powerful songs.
